Mary Ann (Naugle) Kiszla

January 15, 1932 ~ March 1, 2021 (age 89)

Mary Ann Kiszla, of Noblesville, Indiana, passed into eternal life on March 1, 2021. She was 89. Mary Ann Naugle was born in Wabash, Indiana, on January 15, 1932, to Raymond Andrew Naugle and Ferne Esta Lester.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers, Robert (Barb) and Thomas (Kate); and her husband, Henry Walter Kiszla, whom she married on July 11, 1954, and with whom she enjoyed more than 50 years.

Mary Ann is survived by three sons, Robert Walter, William Henry (Paula) and Thomas Edward (Nichole); and three grandsons, William Cameron, Jonathan Luke (Jayme) and Benjamin Matthew.

Mary Ann graduated from Wabash High School then received a bachelor of science in psychology and sociology from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. While the children were young, Mary Ann stayed at home, dedicating herself to providing a nurturing home for her family. As her sons grew, Mary Ann worked part time including in real estate before her lifelong passion and ministry in intercessory prayer led her into a writing career. She wrote 10 books about the Christian faith and living for the Lord. As her husband, Hank, retired from his career, they began a ministry called As One, combining her books with in-person seminars to churches in the state of Indiana. Her passion for telling others about the Lord never waned, and she passed with three books still unpublished, including one called “Feisty Faith” and another dealing with taking care of Hank, who developed Alzheimers in 2003.

Throughout her life, Mary Ann enjoyed lasting friendships with those who walked closely with the Lord Jesus, and prior to his passing in 2011, Hank and Mary Ann traveled the world. At home in Noblesville, Mary Ann spent her time caring for God’s creatures, including the numerous birds who would feed by her dining room window. She also was known as a fierce competitor in board and card games. Though they miss her dearly, Mary Ann’s family is happy to know that she is in Heaven with the Lord and free of the restrictions of her earthly body.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 6, and due to the pandemic, those who wish to attend will be able to participate via Zoom. For information, contact
