Margaret "Peggy" Funari

Margaret "Peggy" Funari , 75, of Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at her home.  She was born on August 21, 1946 to Joseph and Lillian (Campbell) Gerard in Port Jefferson, New York, and grew up in Bellport, New York.

Peggy was an RN for over 20 years.  She was a tough, resilient New Yorker who was fiercely independent.  Peggy met the love of her life, Fred, and they were happily married until his passing in 2008.  She loved to read and enjoyed bowling in her league.  Peggy loved her dogs, especially Cocker Spaniels.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Banks; son, Victor Funari; and her beloved dog, Shadow.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Funari; and her son, Chris Banks.

Peggy will be laid to rest next to Fred at Emmanuel Church Cemetery in Great River, NY.
