John Field

John Michael Field , 81, of Noblesville, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born on November 13, 1939 to the late A.B. and Emma (Opperman) Field at Harrell Hospital in Noblesville, Indiana.

John was a 1958 graduate of Noblesville High School and a member of the 1957 undefeated football team.  He attended Ball State and proudly served in the Indiana National Guard.  In 1992, John bought Field Rubber Products and retired in 2010.  He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, the Elks Club, the 50 Club of Hamilton County, the National Sporting Clay Association, the Indiana Gun Club, and the Izaak Walton League.  John loved fishing in Costa Rica, Canada, the Arctic Circle, and the Florida Keys.  He also enjoyed sporting clays and snowmobiling.  Most of all, John loved spending time with his family and grandsons.

He is survived by his wife, Jan (Kruse) Field; son, Mike & Karen E. Field and their sons, Jack & Daniel; son, Todd & Karen L. Field and their sons, Scott & Jason; sister, Janet Foell of Novi, Michigan; and sister, Marjorie & Dale Ostler of Noblesville.

Family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a private service to follow on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville.  Rev. Dr. Jim Farrer will officiate the service.  Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
