Janet Marie VanVoorhis, 87, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday, July 19, 2021.  She was born on June 25, 1934 in Evanston, Illinois. She lived with her parents, Edna and Boyd Ogle, and her brother, Ed Ogle.  Jan graduated from Goshen High School and continued her studies at Indiana University.  While in Bloomington, she enjoyed her time with her Phi Mu sorority sisters as well as working at the Chamber of Commerce.

Jan married Dave Landaw and they lived with their three kids on Creekside Lane in Indianapolis.  Jan was a member at St Luke’s Methodist Church and met many close friends while being a member of Tri Kappa.  In 1982, Jan married Dick VanVoorhis.  She put her outgoing and friendly personality to work as a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker.  During retirement years, Jan and Dick thoroughly enjoyed many cruises, European travel as well as making lake life their permanent residence.

Jan is survived by her husband, Dick VanVoorhis; her children, Jill Landaw, Todd Landaw, and Julie Gravely (Randy); her step-children, Jeff VanVoorhis (Patty), David VanVoorhis (Gerhild), Julie Meyer (Blaine), and Laurie Brady (Sean); along with 11 grandchildren, Samantha and Luke Hinesley, Ryan and Sarah VanVoorhis, Adal and Jaac VanVoorhis, Jacob, Grace and Amelia Meyer, and Caitlyn and Nick Brady.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, with visitation beginning at Noon, on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville.
