Eileen Carlson

Eileen L. Carlson , 87, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Riverview Health in Noblesville.  She was born on January 2, 1933 to Thomas and Marie (Kornacker) Brandstatter in Chicago, Illinois.

Eileen was a strong Christian woman who devoted her entire life serving her Lord and Savior.  She was a loving mom and an incredible role model to her children.  Eileen created wonderful memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Her first granddaughter, April Jean, named her "Honey" and from that point on, Eileen was known as Honey!

If an adjective could describe Eileen, it would be joyful.  She had an unbelievable sense of humor and could make people laugh and smile.  Eileen also loved good jokes.  Among many things she loved to do, first and foremost was being on the Evangelistic Committee at her church.  Eileen was an amazing cook and loved gardening, embroidery and knitting.  She loved making prayer shawls to uplift others during difficult times.  One thing people did not know about Eileen was that she was an incredible writer.  Everything she wrote was touching, meaningful, and heartfelt.

Eileen is survived by her daughter, Marie (Rick) Stover; son, Larry R. (Lisa) Carlson; grandchildren, Jenny, Jackie, Matt, April, and Fonda; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd R. Carlson and her 14 siblings.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, 20650 Cumberland Road, Noblesville, IN 46062.
