William 'Bill' Gilson Brinkman, 70, Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at home. He was born February 25, 1938 in Indianapolis.
Bill was a general contractor and owned his own business for most of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was active in youth hockey; Jr. Achievement; NARI; and Howe Alumni Association.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Susan Lee (Ecknor) Brinkman; with surviving son, Mark Robert (& Sandra) Brinkman of Muncie. Also surviving are his wife, Carolyn (Edwards) Brinkman of Indianapolis; Jack Dan and James (& Sharon) Dan, both of Indianapolis; Linda (& Steven) Hamrick of Noblesville; seven grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, with Rev. Jeff Buck officiating. Friends may call Friday, November 7, 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Washington Park East Cemetery.
