Timothy J. Aggen

Timothy J. Aggen, 64, of Carmel, Indiana passed away January 6, 2024 at his home. Tim was born November 30, 1959 in Morrison, Illinois to James and Marilyn Aggen. He was a wrestling champion and played in the band at Morrison Community High School, graduating in 1977. Tim was a 4-H member and enjoyed showing his award-winning dairy cattle and working with dairy genetics.

He received a BS in agricultural economics from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana. His career ranged from working as an investment broker at the Chicago Board of Trade to Fundraising and Development for the University of Wisconsin to Philanthropy Director for Prevent Blindness America. He also consulted about charitable giving, investing, retirement and estate planning and insurance. He was very respected in his work.

Tim was thought of by all who knew him as the kindest and gentlest soul they ever met. His compassion for those in need was immense, which clearly exhibited the love of his Savior. Tim was extremely bright and was able to answer almost all questions correctly on every Jeopardy episode he happened to catch.

He was very involved at his church and was treasured by those he served as Prayer Partner, Stephen Minister, Grief Share Leader, and Small Group Leader. Though he loved his family more than anything, his faith in God and his desire to serve Him was always paramount in his life.

Tim’s wonderful, incomprehensible gain by entering into the presence, rest, and infinite joy of his God and Savior, is most definitely our loss. He was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.

Tim is survived by his brother, Tom (Janeen) Aggen of Lenexa, Kansas and sister Marna (Mike) Geerts of Morrison as well as many nephews and nieces.
