Thomas L. Moran, Sr., age 81, passed away on June 17, 2026. Born in Orange County, California, Tom lived a life defined by dedication to his family, professional excellence, and enjoyment of the simpler pleasures that brought him happiness.

Tom graduated from Drexel University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and went on to build a distinguished and successful career spanning engineering and executive leadership. His professional accomplishments culminated in his role as President of Wellman Thermal Systems, where he was respected for his leadership, expertise, and commitment to excellence.

Outside of his career, Tom found great joy on the golf course and on the water. Whether golfing or spending time boating, he appreciated the opportunities these hobbies provided to relax and enjoy life.

Tom’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia, with whom he shared 37 wonderful years of marriage. He is also survived by his children, Patricia, Thomas Jr. (Julie), and William (Sandra); his grandchildren, Mikel, James, Kaitlin (Logan), Stephanie (Saige), and Gage; his great-grandchildren, Ruth, Rhett, and Charlotte; and his step-children, Peter (Penny) Suszycki and Cynthia Suszycki.

Tom will be remembered for his intelligence, strong work ethic, kindness, and devotion to those he loved. His legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the many lives he touched throughout his career and personal life. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Private family services will be held. Randall & Roberts Funeral Home has been entrusted with Tom’s care.
