Thomas Frederick Moehl

Thomas Frederick Moehl, 89, of Carmel, formerly of Munster, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Wellbrooke of Carmel.  He was born on April 19, 1933 to Frederick Wilhelm and Eleanor M. (Schuester) Moehl in Dubuque, Iowa.

Tom proudly served in the United States Army. He was a graduate of Iowa State University and was an electrical engineer for Square D. Tom was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church where he served on the buildings and grounds board. He was a member of the Indiana Forestry Association, the Munster Lions Club, and Sir Isaac Walton League of Griffin, Indiana. Tom was an avid Hamm Radio Operator. 

He is survived by his sons, Tim (Heather) Moehl and John (fiancée, Dawn) Moehl; daughters, Lisa (Rich Schneider) Hartman and Lynn (fiancé, Barry) Marshall; sister, Barbara Jean Lynch; grandchildren, Joseph Hartman, Kamryn Moehl, Jacklyn Moehl, Mikey Moehl, and Tommy Moehl.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnne (Wolf) Moehl.

Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 14598 Oak Ridge Road in Carmel, with Rev. Richard Doerr officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the church, prior to Mass.  Burial will be at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Indianapolis.
