Sylvia Kirkman

Sylvia J. Kirkman , 83, of Westfield, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at St. Vincent Carmel Hospital.  She was born on January 26, 1939 to Raymond H. and Martha Jane (Jessup) Stewart in Westfield, Indiana.

For over 30 years, Sylvia worked in the office and cafeteria for Westfield High School and also for Carmel Jr. High School cafeteria.  She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Westfield and enjoyed traveling and shopping for antiques.

Sylvia is survived by her husband of 64 years, William D. "Bill" Kirkman; son, William Jeffery (Penny) Kirkman; daughters, Jill (Bruce) Adair and Karen (Scott) Osborne; 6 grandchildren, Reed & Olivia Kirkman, Jessica Adair & Melissa Adair, Megan Osborne, and Allison (Levi) Hiatt; great-grandson, Isaac Hiatt; sisters, Sonja Ashpaugh and Pam (Neil) Mendenhall; and sister-in-law, Diana Stewart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Don Stewart, Larry Stewart, and Tom Stewart; sister-in-law, Sharon Stewart; and brother-in-law, David Ashpaugh.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with services at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville.  Rev. Mark D. Wesler will officiate.  Burial will be at Summit Lawn Cemetery in Westfield.
