Susan Scott, 83, passed away unexpectedly on April 6, 2026. She was born February 6, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Margaret (Johnson) and Chester Douglas. Susan married the love of her life, Everett “Scotty” Scott, on August 24, 1963. Scotty passed away in 2021.
Susan was a 1961 graduate of Warren Central High School and received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University. She continued her education and received her Master’s degree from Ball State University.
Susan was an active member of Southside Christian Church in Kokomo, Indiana. She was a deaconess and was instrumental in having women preside over communion. Both she and Scotty were JR & SR youth group sponsors and enjoyed watching the youth grow into adults. She enjoyed spending time with friends from Southside.
Susan enjoyed participating on committees at Freedom Plaza in Sun City Center and spending time with her many friends there. She loved her family and spent many hours watching and attending her children and grandchildren sporting events and school activities.
Susan is survived by her daughters, Patti (Jim) Keene of Apollo Beach, FL and Sandie (the late Arthur) David of Westfield, IN; and grandchildren, Ivan Keene, Kaylee David, Camden David and Caden David. All will miss her greatly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, Indiana with Pastor Dann Masden officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1pm to 2pm that same Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery, Westfield, Indiana.
