Shirley L. Zumwalt

Shirley L. Zumwalt, 90, of Westfield, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Maple Park Village in Westfield. She was born on May 31, 1935 to John and Nellie (Jackson) Bradley in Sedalia, Missouri.

Shirley was the executive secretary for Mission Baptist Convention for many years. She was a member of Christian Fellowship of Columbia in Missouri and College Park Church in Indianapolis. Shirley enjoyed sewing and decorating, and her passion was cooking all sorts of meals and hosting events at her church. She was a very giving person, who loved helping others and serving in her church.

She is survived by her children, Dawn Laskey, Kevin (Mary) Zumwalt, and Carolyn (Lonnie) Wilson; grandchildren, Lindsey (Ryan) Zindorf, Alex Zumwalt, Ethan Laskey, Noah Laskey, Carissa (Greg) Resz, Heather (Nathan) Hicks, and Justin (Emily) Wilson; great-grandchildren, Layla, Flynn, and Milo; and brother, John (Betty) Bradley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Zumwalt; brothers, Leon Bradley and Harold Bradley; and sisters, Lucille Shirley, Betty Payne, and Erma Bradley.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville, with Pastor Joshua Schreiner officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to the time of service at the funeral home.
