Shirley A. McConnell, 87, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis.  She was born on August 27, 1934 to Harold and Bernadine (Huntsman) Jones in Topeka, Kansas.

Shirley worked for Danners and Noblesville Topics.  She loved reading, gardening, shopping and people-watching.  Shirley loved animals, especially dogs & cats.  She was a great cook and a wonderful homemaker who collected several items such as angels, bells and spoons.  Shirley was a member of Strawtown Community Church.  She was a great mom who loved babies and was very proud of her grandkids.

Shirley is now reunited with the love of her life, Darrell.  They loved to square dance and travel.  Shirley & Darrell were inseparable and always parted with a kiss.

She is survived by her children, Debbie (Ron) Gerber, Robin Keith, David (Teri) McConnell, and Steve McConnell; half-brother, R. Dale Jones; grandchildren, Jeff (Tammy) Gerber, Matt (Kristin) Gerber, Mike Gerber, Jason (Lisa) Cox, Jeremy Cox, Kelli (Jeremy) Starkey, Heather (Chad) Wells, and Chelsea McConnell; and great-grandchildren, McKenzie (Tyler) Jackson, Kennedy Gerber, Kendall Gerber, Evan Gerber, Grant Gerber, Maryssa Cox, Jalen Cox, Athan Starkey, Haven Starkey, Chase Cox, Zoee Cox, Skyler Cox, Zachary Wells, and Katie Wells.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell L. McConnell; son-in-law, Dan Keith; daughter-in-law, Sharrie McConnell; and her grandson, Gary McConnell.

Services will be held at 11:00 am, with visitation beginning at 9:00 am, on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville, with Pastor Rick Huffman officiating.  Burial will follow at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.

Following interment, a dinner will be held at Strawtown Community Church, 23165 Essig Avenue in Noblesville.
