Sharon D. Box

Sharon D. Box, 83, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Riverview Health in Noblesville. She was born on September 26, 1941 to James and Olive (McKenzie) Rook in Owensboro, Kentucky.

Sharon leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and creativity. Born a preacher’s daughter, she taught herself to play piano with God’s help and followed her heart to California, where she met and married Howard, the love of her life.

A talented organist and proud member of the Professional Musicians Union in Indiana, Sharon was once honored as Artist of the Month in Hamilton County. She devoted her life to music, art, and her passion for collecting antiques-but her greatest joy was always her family.

Sharon was known for her warmth, generosity, and caring personality. She never met a stranger. She touched countless lives with her kind spirit. God truly blessed her-and now has welcomed her home. As she often said, “The Lord be with you and keep you safe.”

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Angela D. Box; sons, Howard C. (Margaret "Peggy") Box Jr., Anthony C. (Janet) Box, and Nicholas C. (Moriah) Box; brother, Jim Rook; sister, Janice (George) Hendricks; grandchildren, Alexander (Andrea) Huber, Jordan (Casey) Huber, Benjamin C. Box, Rachel C. (Stephen) Christopher, Joseph C. (Alexandra) Box, Noah (Hannah) Box, Levi Box, Jacob C. (Maddie) Box, Micaela M. (Hunter) Schalliol, Matthew C. Box, Jade Coffman, Nikolai C. Box, and Nikita Box; and her great-grandchildren, Keaton, Zoe, Sophia Rose, Maya, Harper Mae, and Riley Jo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard C. Box Sr.; and her sister, Nancy Landis.

Visitation will be from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm, with services at 2:30 pm, on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
