Sandra "Sandy" Kay Dick

Sandra “Sandy” Kay Dick, 78, of Noblesville passed away at home on December 31, 2022.

She was born on August 25, 1944, the oldest daughter of Eugene Hill and Esther Hill.  Sandy spent her entire life living in Noblesville and the surrounding area.  She was a friend to many and almost always ran into someone she knew when she was out.  She attended Noblesville High School, where she met her husband of 48 years, Edgar “Sonny” Dick, III.  They were married on December 17, 1961. Sandy’s bridal bouquet was created with white carnations and five red roses.  In her later years, she felt that this was providential as the couple eventually became the proud parents of five children.

Sandy spent many years working in housekeeping at Riverview Hospital.  After her retirement from Riverview, she provided childcare services to a few select families.  She and Sonny were extremely active in their church, Circle of Hope Lakeview Wesleyan.  Over the years, Sandy served on Lakeview’s board of directors as the treasurer, assisted with the weekly Kids Time Out (KTO) program, and volunteered with countless other church events.  Sandy found great joy in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Her home was a hub of family energy and activity.  Christmas was her favorite holiday.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Edgar and Lauri Dick, IV; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Delita Vincel, Deann and James Ousley, Denise and Chip Johnston, and Tammy and Roger Myers; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Elaine Hill, and Tom and Sherri Hill; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Sam Rodgers; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Hill and Esther Hill; her husband, Edgar “Sonny” Dick, III; and two sons-in-law, Kim Vincel and Steph Hero.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 6th from 4-8:00 pm. at Circle of Hope Lakeview Wesleyan Church in Noblesville, IN.  The funeral will be Saturday, January 7th at 11:00 am at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting a memorial donation to Sandy’s beloved church, Circle of Hope Lakeview Wesleyan Church, 396 Park Street, Noblesville, IN 46060.
