Ruby M. Sutton Roberts, 77, formerly of Noblesville, passed away Friday, November 13, 2009 at Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton. She was born June 22, 1932 in Wise County, Virginia to Charles and Minnie (Fisher) Roberts.
Ruby had been a waitress and was reitred from the Uptown Cafe. She was a member of the Women's Moose, the VFW Auxiliary and Hamilton County Democrat Party.
She is survived by three daughters, Margaret (Gary) Harber of St. Cloud, FL, Carolyn (Bill) Townsend of Arcadia and Cindy (Gary) Campbell of Sheridan; one son, Otis V. (Cindy) Sutton of Noblesville; one brother, Clabe Roberts of Detroit, MI; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchldren.
In addition to her parents, Ruby is preceded in death by her ex-husband, Otis Sutton; son, Charles Sutton; three sisters, Bessie Gibson, Helen Blake and Ruth Oliver; two brothers, Warren Roberts and Everett (Doc) Roberts; and great-grandson, Austin Sutton.
A Celebration of Ruby's Life will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Sheridan Church of God, 707 W. Second Street. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, November 17, from 6:00 - 7:00PM at the church.
