Ronald Messersmith

Ronald "Ron" Messersmith, 84, of Westfield, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Maple Park Village in Westfield. He was born on July 1, 1941 to Harry and Janet (Hill) Messersmith in Castleton, Indiana.

Ronald was a plumber for L. E. Isley and Sons for over 40 years before his retirement. He was a member of Eagle Creek Church and HSTA. Ronald enjoyed motorcycles and was a trap shooting champion. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Charles Messersmith; daughter, Paula Myers; grandchildren, Andrew (Angelic) Messersmith, Benjamin (Taylor) Messersmith, Cory Myers, Hannah Myers, and Samantha Myers; and great-grandchildren, Nessa, Madilyn, and Wyatt Messersmith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Anne Louise Messersmith.

Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Eagle Creek Evangelical Friends Church, 18103 Eagletown Road in Westfield, with Pastor Markus Dennis officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be at Eagle Creek Cemetery in Westfield.
