Ronald James Smith

Ronald James Smith, 84, of Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on February 3, 1938 in Gary, IN to James and Alice Smith.

Ronald grew up as an only child and attended a Catholic boarding high school. He proudly served 4 years in the US Navy and was a career Navy civilian employee for over 35 years at Naval Avionics in Indianapolis. Ron had a passion for traveling. He had a passion for water and loved oceans and the Great Lakes.  He also enjoyed hunting and took great pride in passing his enthusiasm on to younger generations.

Ronald is survived by his sons, Roderick (Holly) Smith and Ryan (Amanda) Smith; and his grandchildren, Kelsie, Cole, Ella, Ava & Mia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Sue Smith.

Private family services will be held. The Smith family has entrusted Randall & Roberts Funeral Homes with Ronald's care.
