Robert Charles Witt, 85, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Riverview Health in Noblesville. He was born on July 5, 1937 to Alfonso and Ann (Bonini) Wittkowski in Racine, Wisconsin.
Bob was a loving husband who was married to his beautiful bride, Colleen, for 60 years and a proud father to his 5 sons. He served in the United States Army and achieved multiple degrees, including an MBA from Bradley University. After playing professional baseball, Bob fell in love with golf and instilled that love into his children and grandchildren. When he wasn’t on the golf course, Bob could be found reading a good book, attending his grandkids sporting events, or watching his beloved Packers, Cubs and Badgers on TV. He had a "green thumb" and was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for over 40 years. Professionally, Bob was proud of the work that he did at GTE, where he spent close to 25 years helping the company expand into different market segments.
He is survived by his spouse, Colleen Witt; sons, Thomas (Linda) Witt, Robert (Lisa) Witt, David (Joyce) Witt, Richard (Danielle) Witt, and Daniel (Jeanne) Witt; grandchildren, Kelli, Molly, Eric, Zach, Austin, Ryan, Chandler, Alexander and Katherine; great-grandchild, Palmer; and brother, Thomas (Judie) Witt.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 9900 East 191st Street in Noblesville, with Father Block officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to the time of service at the church. Burial will be at Crown Hill National Cemetery in Indianapolis.
