Robert Jefferson Clifford Bond, U.S. Air Force (Retired), age 62, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, in Noblesville, Indiana. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he leaves behind a legacy of faith and service.
Robert, a proud Gulf War veteran, joined the Air Force in February 1982, shortly after marrying his high school sweetheart, Terri, on November 28, 1981. He served around the world—from England, where his son Jeffery was born, to Mississippi, where his daughter Katie was born—ultimately retiring at Travis Air Force Base, California in January 2003.
Robert was fiercely loyal to his friends, his family, and his country, but what made him truly unforgettable was his almost-childlike outlook on life. He found humor even in the hardest of times. He was known to stash candy throughout the house, wasn’t a stranger to video games, and, if given the opportunity, would have eaten two scoops of vanilla custard with strawberries for every meal.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Bond, and his sister, LaVonda Davies.
Robert is survived by his wife of 43 years, Terri Bond; son, Jeffery Bond (Nicole); daughter, Katie Willemsen (Justin); grandchildren, Kaden and Abigail Bond; mother, Joycie Bond; and brother, John Bond (Laurie).
A celebration of life will be held at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, Indiana, on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
