Robert "Bob" Davis

Robert "Bob" Davis, 70, of Noblesville, passed on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at home. He was born July 8, 1955, in Rolla, Missouri to Everett and Kathryn (Spegal) Davis. He lived a life guided by his Christian faith, a passion for innovation, and an immense love for his family.

Bob, previous co-owner of Modern Die Systems in Elwood, was a master tool and die craftsman, whose precision and ingenuity extended beyond his career into every facet of his life. Born into a family of musicians (Davis Brothers Band), he was a gifted musician who played the French horn and Trumpet. Bob’s interest in technology was boundless—he was an early adopter and avid enthusiast of computers, 3D printing, and, most notably, Tesla and SpaceX, which he admired for their groundbreaking engineering and vision for the future. Through the years his garage was a testament to his love for speed and craftsmanship, housing his cherished Aprilia motorcycles and in more recent years his Teslas, a symbol of his forward-thinking spirit. A proud patriot and firearms enthusiast, Bob also stood firm in his values and love for his country.

At the heart of Bob’s life was his deep devotion to his family. His love for his wife, Ruthann, was a cornerstone of his life for 50 years, and together they built a legacy of warmth and togetherness. Bob’s pride in his children, Rachael (Ryan) McCracken and Daniel (Andraya) Davis, and his adoration for his grandchildren—Nathan, Chloe, and Naomi McCracken, and Charlie, Corrie, and Everett Davis—shone brightly in every story he shared and every moment spent with them. His loyal companion, Teddy the dog, was never far from his side, a furry friend who brought him endless joy.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Ruthann; brother, Bruce Davis; sister, Mary (Jim) Arbuckle; brother-in-law, Gary (Vicki) Glover; sister-in-law, JoAnne Davis; his children, grandchildren, nephews, and nieces ; and his dog, Teddy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Kathryn Davis; brother, Mike Davis; father-in-law, Benjamin Glover; mother-in-law, Alma Glover; and grandchild, Baby Davis.
