Randy P. Worden, 67, of Noblesville, passed peacefully on June 12, 2023. He was born on February 22, 1956 to Harry and Pauline Worden in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
He graduated from Garrett High School in 1974 where he played and excelled in multiple sports. He was an avid Indianapolis Colts, Pacers and Purdue fan. He loved golfing and fishing with family and recently enjoyed trips to Florida. He graduated from Ivy Tech in Ft. Wayne with a business degree.
His career included plumbing sales for over 30+ years, then transitioning to selling health insurance for almost 10 years. Even as an amputee, he was recently awarded the 2021 Market Advisor of the year – 5th Place at United Health Group.
Randy married Nancy (Rassel) Worden on July 1, 1978. They made their home in Noblesville, with their son, Joel, until her unexpected passing in January 1991. He remained in Noblesville raising Joel as a single father. In 2001, he met Diana through an oldies radio show connection and they were married in 2007, welcoming her sons, Rob & Ryan Turner to his family.
Randy was member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and a 3rd degree Knight. He enjoyed serving the Fish fry’s and developed many valuable friendships and memories. The Knight’s especially encouraged him after losing his foot in an amputation, to continue to serve with his brotherhood.
He was a member of the OLG Monthly Graced Meals team that delivered meals to those needing them in Hamilton County. He would look forward to meeting some of the residents and listening to their stories. His faith grew as he began to see these people that only wanted to be accepted and loved like him in their present circumstances. He continued to deliver meals to them even though being an amputee made it more of a challenge. A strong or kinder soul you could not find!
We would like to thank the many medical staff that were with him throughout our journey through his health challenges. While we know you were doing your job, we made many friends along his journey that blessed us with their encouragement and presence.
A beloved husband, dad, brother, uncle, great uncle and friend to all, he will be immensely missed. Surviving is his wife, Diana Turner-Worden; sons, Joel Worden (Jodi Dawson), Rob (Kristina) Turner, and Ryan Turner; brother, Denny (Linda) Worden; and nephew, Eric (Angie) Worden. He was blessed with many nieces and nephews as part of his extended families from both of his wives’ families.
