Phyllis Sue (Jeffers) Woodrum, 70, Noblesville, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at home after a long battle with cancer.  She was born March 18, 1938 near Raleigh, Indiana to Earl and Verna (Woodall) Jeffers.
She was employed at Firestone in Noblesville for 35 years as an Engineering Assistant in Development until retiring on disability in October 1991. She loved to make and decorate special cakes and planned to do this after her retirement from Firestone, but, due to her disability, was not able to.
She married Thurman Woodrum on July 4, 1976. He preceded her in death in 2003. They loved to spend their summer weekends fishing and camping with friends.
Sue is survived by two sisters, Kathryn Webb and Mary Jane Teague, both of New Castle, IN; and a brother adn sister-in-law, Thomas and Emma Jeffers of Cerritos, CA; 16 nieces and nephews; numerous grand & great-grand-nieces & nephews; numerous cousins; a stepson; 3 step-grandsons; and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Luella Landrum and brother, Elmer Jeffers, both of Naples, FL; brother, Bill Jeffers of Somerset, KY; two infant sisters, Marcella and Lenore Ruth; and an infant brother, Lesley Phillip.
Services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, August 4, 2008 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, with Pastor David Rogers officiating. Calling will be Monday, August 4, from 12:00NOON - 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital -or- the American Cancer Society.
