Phoebe Jean Hennis

Phoebe Jean Hennis, 97, of Fishers, Indiana, formerly of Machesney Park, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023.  She was born on February 6, 1925 to William and May (Pickwell) Eisele in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Jean was an elementary school teacher, a shop owner, and volunteered for multiple organizations.  She was a member at Christ United Methodist Church in Rockford, IL, where she enjoyed participating in church activities. 

She is survived by her daughter, Joean Schiefer, daughter, Judith Miller (Lynn), son, Gregg Hennis (Darla), five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hennis, and an infant daughter.

Private family services will be held.  Inurnment will be at Sunset Funeral Home and Memorial Garden in Machensey Park, Illinois, at a later date.
