Peggy Jean (Roberts) Bauer 80, Noblesville, IN passed away peacefully at home on July15, 2010, following an extended illness. Peggy was born August 30, 1929 to the late Aaron and Maggie Ginder Roberts and cherished countless memories of small-town life in Noblesville with her parents and five siblings. She chose to remain in Noblesville to raise her own family and was a life-long resident of Hamilton County.
She was the beloved mother of Bill Bauer (Cindy) Zionsville, IN and Wanda James (Mark) of Shreveport, LA and was adored grandmother to Haley Bauer, Caleb Bauer and Jacob Homan. Other survivors include her brothers, Ed Roberts (Arlene) of Longview, Texas and Don Roberts (Janet) of Noblesville, IN; and sister, JoAnn Randall of Noblesville, IN.
She was preceded in death by brothers Joe Roberts and Junior Roberts. Peggy's love for family extended to her siblings' spouses, her nieces and nephews, their spouses and over 25 grand-nieces and grand-nephews whose lives she followed and cared about until her last days.
Peggy's life was one of sweetness and creativity as she was an outstanding baker and professional cake decorator. Besides spending time with her family and friends, she enjoyed giving countless cookies, cakes and pies to her loved ones. She was also employed throughout the years in various administrative capacities and retired after 20 years from the Indiana State Highway Dept. She was a member of the Noblesville United Methodist Church and a former member of the Noblesville Christian Church.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 19 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, Noblesville, Rev. Glenn McDonald officiating. Visitation will be from 2-5 on Sunday, July 18. Memorials in honor of Peggy's arduous battle with cancer may be directed to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
