Send a Sympathy Card
Paul Edward Mullins, 65, of Sherman, Texas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, January 30, 2026. He was born on October 10, 1960 to Lacy and Bessie Mullins in Welch, West Virginia.
Paul worked tirelessly and sacrificed without complaint, determined that his children would have more opportunities and a bright future. No matter how busy or how tired he was he would still do his best to show up for his kids’ events and be present. Family was the most important thing and being there for them no matter what. Paul could often be found with one of his many grandkids in his arms. Quick to give a magical hug or super glue a boo-boo if needed.
He attended school in Noblesville and went on to graduate from ITT Tech with honors while working a full-time job and a part time job. In doing so showed his kids that through hard work and dedication they could achieve anything.
He was a loyal friend to those lucky enough to be called his friend; always willing to give a helping hand without any expectations. He loved life and was always quick to put a smile on anyone’s face. He believed in fixing things not just replacing them. He wasn’t one that would let things go to waste as the ol’ saying goes one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. He could fix, repair, or even fabricate anything. Just make sure you hold that flashlight steady. If you want to see some of his work just check out the iron railing that is in the Indianapolis Children’s Museum.
He loved to ride his motorcycle and as he would say if it ain’t a Harley it isn’t a bike. He loved to hunt, fish, and golf (sometimes even barefoot). His knowledge of classic cars would be mind blowing at times. He wasn’t one to let a good history documentary go to waste even if he had seen a thousand documentaries on the same subject. He had a passion for the night sky and looking at the constellations. Paul’s spirit could be wild one second, entertainer the next, and romantic a moment later; a spirit that will never be duplicated. The world lost a pillar and his loved ones lost a HERO.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Mullins; children, Amy (Stephen) Davis, Melissa (Justin) Claspell, Rick (Carly) Mullins, and Kelsey (Daniel) Alsup; 16 grandchildren, Dillon, Skyler, Zach, Mylee, Blake, Aleigha, Sydney, Shelby, Storey, Kegan, Kensley, Kaia, Chase, Addy, Jimmy and Amelia; his brothers, Charlie (Melissa) Mullins and Wally Branham; and his sisters, Susie (Tom) Swanson and Tammy Burgess.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his fur children, Buster, Bonnie, Clyde, Girly, and Diamond “Buggy”; sisters, Terri Mullins, Becky (Mullins) Rushing, Georgette Branham; brothers, Robert Branham, Dennis Branham, Andy (Peanut) Branham and great-grandchild, Nayeli Fleming.
Private family services will be held. The Mullins family has entrusted Randall & Roberts Funeral Home with Paul's care.
