Nancy Ellen Phillips

Nancy Ellen Phillips, age 87, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026. She is now joyfully reunited with her beloved husband, Verlyn, whom she cherished deeply.

Nancy was a devoted and loving mother to James (Lori) and Steven Stadick, and she took immense pride in her family. She was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren-Jimmy, Tony, Jenna, Steven, and Nate-and great-grandmother to five.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Verlyn; her sister, Joanne Matz; her mother, Ellen Matz; and her father, Joseph Matz.

Nancy was a faithful and longtime member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church for over 40 years, attending regularly until she was no longer able. In her later years, she found comfort and community at Geist Community Church, located near her assisted living residence, where she attended whenever she was able.

She dedicated nearly 50 years of her life to a career in the insurance industry, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment throughout her professional life.

Nancy loved the Lord, her family, and the many memories she created traveling alongside her husband, Verlyn. Her life was a testament to faith, love, and devotion, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with services at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers. Burial will follow at Huttton Cemetery in Zionsville.
