Morris McNally

Morris E. McNally, 91, passed away June 30 at Riverview Hospital. Mr. McNally, a lifelong musician, played trombone in numerous groups throughout Indiana. He was a member of the Musician's Union, the Indianapolis Scottish Rite, and the Noblesville Masonic Lodge. A Master Gardener who grew and exhibited roses, he won many local, district, and national awards. As a member of the American Rose Society, he was an accredited judge and consulting rosarian. He served in the US Army during WW II and retired from 33 years of service at the Noblesville Post Office in 1972.
    A native of Noblesville, he was born to Clarence and Marie Washington McNally Dec. 16, 1916. He married Ruby Janiece Whisman in 1949; she passed away in 2005. Surviving are a son Daniel A. (Jennifer), grandson Will and granddaughter Jaime. A son, Philip Eugene, died in infancy.
    Visitation will be 4-7 July 3 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home on Logan St., followed by a Masonic service. Burial at Crownland Cemetery will be private.Memorial gifts may be made to the First Christian Church, 16377 Herriman Road, Noblesville, IN 46060.
