He proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves and was called to active duty during the Vietnam War. A true history enthusiast, Mike also had a lifelong love for science fiction films, with his favorite being War of the Worlds (1953). One of his greatest joys was attending military shows with his grandson, Brevin.
