Melvin Ogden

Melvin R. Ogden, 72, of Noblesville, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was born on March 29, 1950 to the late Melvin E. and Marilyn (Ayers) Ogden in Marion, Indiana.

For 30 years, Mel worked as a quality manager for Steel Parts.  He loved hot rods, working the entrance at Ducktail, NASCAR, drag racing, and golf.  Mel loved floating for hours on the lake, and he loved spoiling his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Ogden; children, Melvin Scott Ogden, Shawn M. Ogden, Derek Stroup, Amanda (Jay) Prokupek, Greg (Lexi) Ogden, and Ryan (Hannah) Ogden; grandchildren, Hannah, Jack, Charlie, Camille, Kali, and Brady; sister, Susie (Gary) Johnson; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family is hosting a private cruise for Mel. The Ogden family has entrusted his care to Randall & Roberts Funeral Homes.
