Martha Withington Greehey

Our beloved mother and grandmother “grim gram” Martha Withington Greehey, age 86, passed away on April 15th, 2023 in Westfield, IN. Martha was born on March 5th, 1937, grew up in Birmingham, Michigan, and lived in New York for most of her life.

Martha was independent and a hard-worker. She worked full-time until she retired at 80 years old. She enjoyed going to work where she had many dear friends that she held close to her heart. To know her was truly to love her.

Martha loved listening to music, reading, traveling and learning about world history and ancestry; and most of all spending time with her family and friends. She was truly full of love, compassion, acceptance; and always put a smile on our faces and kept us laughing. We are grateful for the countless memories and time we were blessed to share with her.

Martha’s family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her children, Bill (Michele Stenson) Greehey, Heidi Wallace, and Holly (Jim) Dexter; her grandchildren, Andy Wallace, Zack (Teress) Wallace, Allie Wallace, Samantha Dexter, Marisa Dexter, and Mickayla Dexter; her great grandchildren, Dominic and Sienna Wallace; and an abundance of loving family members and friends.

We will remember her fondly and will miss her more than words can say.

There are no events planned, as she did not wish to have services. She requested a cremation and our family will be spreading her ashes in one of her favorite places and the state she grew up in, Michigan.
