Marilyn Ellen Tiernan

Marilyn Ellen (Carlson) Tiernan, 72, Noblesville, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Marquette Manor in Indianapolis. She was born November 21, 1935 in Wahoo, Nebraska to Ellen Marie (Wedell) and Walter Richard Carlson.
Marilyn retired from Coca-Cola in 1996, after 26 years of service. She was a 1952 graduate from Ceresco High School in Nebraska; and attended Luther College in Wahoo, Nebraska.
She was a member of Radiant Christian Life Church of Carmel, and was baptized & confirmed at Swedeburg Covenant Church of Swedeburg, Nebraska.
She is survived by son & daughter-in-law, Dr. Mark & Pam Tiernan of Tulsa, Oklahoma, son & daughter-in-law, Robert & Cathy Tiernan of Noblesville, Indiana, son & daughter-in-law, Greg & Ann Tiernan of Plainfield, Indiana, son & daughter-in-law, Steven & Regina Tiernan of Naples, Florida, son & daughter-in-law, Scott & Kathy Tiernan of Hermosa Beach, California, sister, Lucile Marie Otto of Ceresco, Nebraska, and 11 grandchildren - Natalie, Joshua, Benjamin, Bryce, Claire, Nathan, Jonathan, E. Grace, Calvin, Gunnar & Rebekah.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James C. Tiernan; and brother Waldon Emil Carlson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:30PM on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, with Pastor Gary Sobol officiating. Friends may call Wednesday, March 5, 5:30 - 7:30 PM prior to the service.
An additional Celeberation of Life Service will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Ceresco Covenant Church in Ceresco, Nebraska. Burial will be at Fridhem Cemetery in Swedeburg, Nebraska.
