Marilyn Jo Kingery

Marilyn Jo (Funk) Kingery, 90, of Fishers, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Independence Village of Fishers East.  She was born on January 17, 1932 to Herman G. and Lola Pearl (Farran) Funk in Anderson, Indiana.

Marilyn graduated from Lapel High School in 1950. She was a member of First Christian Church in Noblesville. Marilyn worked for several companies over the years, including Firestone Industrial, Clancy Corporate Office, Kenleys, and had her own upholstery business as well as being a homemaker. She was a member of Eastern Star and a leader for Stephen Ministry. Marilyn was a Master Gardener through the Purdue Extension Office and was a member of the 600 Bowling Club.

She is survived by her sons, Dan Lee (Rachel) Kingery, Dean Edward (Pam) Kingery, and Duane Alan (Nancy) Kingery; grandchildren, Amber (Scott) Krueger, Kelsey (Doug) Berry, and Candace (Ray) Smith; great-grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Roston Smith, and Briana Rose Krueger; step grandchildren, Danny Lee (Kim) Garmon, Kim Wells and Tammy Garmon and Jennifer Ramirez; five step great-grandchildren; and three step great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 2013, George C. Kingery, Jr.; brother, Ted Funk; and sister, Barbara Lee Funk.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers, with Rev. Stanley R. Sutton officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am to the time of service at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
