Marcia A. Zdanys

Marcia A. Zdanys, 84, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. She was born on November 27, 1941 to the late Floyd and Iola “Maxine” (Cox) Miller in Goshen, Indiana.

Marcia attended Elkhart High School and graduated in 1959 and then attended Patricia Stevens Career College-Modeling School in Chicago, Illinois, where she completed the secretarial program. She loved living in the Chicago area and close to Lincoln Park.

After graduating from the secretarial program, Marcia started her first job at Indiana Michigan Electric Company in Elkhart, Indiana. She briefly lived in Texas where she worked for a local television station as a secretary then moved to Orlando, Florida to be closer to her family. At this time, Marcia began her 28-year career in the banking industry and worked as an Assistant to the Senior Vice President of the Mortgage Loan Department at The First F.A. and then as an Administrative Assistant to the Executive Vice President and President at Federal Trust Bank in Winter Park.

While in Florida, Marcia was a member of Winter Park Church of the Brethren and later a member of the Fishers United Methodist Church in Indiana.

In the year 2010, Marcia retired and moved back home to Indiana where she spent a lot of her time in Church activities or tending to her flower garden. She participated in the United Methodist Women’s (UMW) Ladies Circle, 50+, Blanche Circle, volunteered in the front office and the food pantry as well as Co-Chaired with the Executive Committee for one year. Marcia also enjoyed taking care of her pets, feeding/watching the birds and tending to her flowers in the garden; Peonies and Irises were her favorite.

Marcia is survived by her daughter, Laura Zdanys; son, Michael Zdanys; brother, Ronald (Dianne) Miller; sister, Jan (George) Worley; grandson, Andrew Zdanys, and granddaughter, Abigail Zdanys.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, with funeral services at 3:00 pm, on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers. Burial will be at West Goshen Cemetery in Goshen, Indiana.
