Linda Strauser

Linda S. Strauser , 84, of Noblesville, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. She was born on September 13, 1937 to Herman and Geneva (Schwartz) Herod in Lafayette, Indiana.

Linda drove a school bus and worked at cafeteria for Carmel-Clay School Corporation for many years. She then worked for Hamilton County Sheriff's Department as 911 dispatcher and later transferred to the Recorder’s Office until she retired.

Linda became involved with Northview Life Church where she enjoyed helping with groups and activities. She was always very creative and enjoyed sewing, baking, and cake decorating among many others.

Linda loved to travel and visit her son, Chris, for many adventures: visiting Mt. McKinley in Alaska, deep sea fishing for halibut, salmon fishing in the Kenai River, visiting the Grand Canyon and Sedona Rock country in Arizona and Mt. Baker in Washington state.

Linda had many dogs throughout her life and loved them all dearly.

She is survived by her husband, James Strauser; son, Christopher L. Thompson; daughter, Sabrina Marie Strauser; grandchildren, Melissa, Amanda, Jacob, Ryanne, Rachel, Justin, Jason, and Rayden; and great-grandchildren, Willow, Nicholas, Alexis, and Jackson.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her son, William Strauser; sister, Phyllis Herod McDowell; and brother, Robert Herod.

Services will be held at a later date. The family has entrusted Randall & Roberts Funeral Home with Linda's care.
