Linda Diane Slone Bennett, 38, Noblesville passed away on Monday July 7, 2008 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Linda waged a very brave and lengthy battle against breast cancer gladly accepting difficult treatment in an effort to spend as much time as possible with her children.
A graduate of DeKalb High School in 1988, Linda had been employed in transportation and pharmaceutical sales after receiving her bachelor's degree from Ball State University in 1992.  Blessed with two children, Linda retired in 2000 to stay at home and raise them.  She enjoyed volunteering in the classroom at Hinkle Creek Elementary and spending time with friends and family.
Her husband, Patrick Bennett and her two children, Will and Ellen of Noblesville, survive Linda.  Also surviving are her parents, Burnard Slone of Mesa, Arizona and Janet Campbell of Freemont, Indiana.  Sisters Beth Werling of Fishers and Brenda Slone of Noblesville survive as well as her brother, Brad Slone of Auburn, Indiana.
Visitation will be held at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville on Thursday July 10 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a memorial taking place at 7:00.  The Reverend Bob Craig of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Auburn, Indiana, will officiate.  A second visitation will take place in Auburn on Friday July 11 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Feller-Clark Funeral Home in Auburn, Indiana, with funeral services at 2:00 p.m. and interment at the Woodlawn Cemetery directly following.
