Lena M. Porter

Lena M. Porter, 57, of Aroma, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at her home. She was born on April 17, 1968 to Larry and Rita (McDaniel) Grace in Chicago, Illinois, but raised in Tipton, Indiana.

Lena graduated from Tipton High School. She married Joe Porter on January 1st, 1986 at the Tipton County Courthouse. Lena loved her plants and gardening. It was not uncommon to see her outside pulling weeds and planting different plants around her home. Lena enjoyed all of her fur babies as well. She was a cat lover and tried her best to fee all the outdoor friends as well. She really enjoyed sitting on the front porch as well. It was the perfect time for story telling, visiting with the town, and pitching in for good food.

Lena is survived by her husband, Joe Porter; mother, Rita Grace; 2 daughters, Cayenne (Allissia) Porter and Raven (Neil) Alexander; 2 sisters, Rita May Curry and Sandy Eiler; 1 brother, Scott Grace; and 4 grandchildren, Zoey Shirley, Emma Shirley, Remington Alexander, and Riley Alexander.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Grace.
