Lawrence E. "Larry" Smith, 90, of Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. He was born on February 23, 1934 to Edward and Marjorie (Thomas) Smith in Anderson, Indiana.
Larry graduated from Noblesville High School in 1952 and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked in the engineering department for Public Service Company, was an electrical supplies salesman in Cincinnati, and most recently managed Noblesville Antique Mall. Larry enjoyed refinishing furniture and sitting on the patio in the sun. He was a self-made artist and enjoyed oil painting.
Larry is survived by his wife, Janet Smith; children, Vickie (Lance) Brock, Ken (Jane) Smith, and Kya (Marc) Woodruff; 6 grandchildren, Julie Brock, Heather (William) Anderson, Kalah (Anthony) Schmaus, Kenny (Angela) Smith, Dustin (Kayti) Woodruff, and Lindsay Woodruff; great-grandchildren, Eddie Smith, Ellie Smith, and one great-grandchild on the way; and his nieces & nephews, Sandy (George) Cain, David Cruzan, Jamie (Randy) Harden, and Jimmy Smith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Smith.
A celebration of Larry's life with military honors will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at White River Christian Church, 1685 N. 10th Street in Noblesville. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service at the church.
