Judith Frederick

It is with profound sadness and overwhelming love that we announce the passing of our amazing sister, mom, and grandma, Judy Frederick on August 18, 2026.

Judy was born in Indianapolis to her adoring parents, Gene and Doc Beasley. She spent her early life on a farm where she preferred being a tomboy and riding horses with her dad and brother, as opposed to wearing the frilly dresses her mother gave her.

She later came into her own and worked for over 30 years as a data analyst at St. Vincent Hospital, where she met her husband of 42 years, Dr. Paul Frederick. We are consoled by the thought that they are undoubtedly together now where our mom is “asking” our dad not to watch another 30-year-old episode of Law & Order.

Judy was a mom in the truest sense of the word — but not just to her own children. She unofficially adopted every friend her children brought home. If you were hungry, she fed you. If you needed a place to go, her door was open. And if you were involved in one of her children’s shenanigans, chances are she already knew and laughed about it later.

And laugh she did.

Judy had a wicked sense of humor, a wonderfully sarcastic streak, and a perfectly timed “whatever” that could end an argument, dismiss nonsense, or express approximately 47 things without saying any of them.

She loved animals — especially dogs, cats, deer and birds — and could often be found birdwatching, admiring a creature in the yard, or making friends with an animal that probably wasn’t supposed to be approached.

She adored Disney World, because apparently being 80 was no excuse to stop believing in a little magic. She loved Key West, especially when it involved a beautiful sunset and a good margarita.

Our Mom was also a fighter. At 79, she beat cancer. Because apparently cancer didn’t realize who it was dealing with.

She will be forever missed and eternally loved by her brother, Steve Beasley (Terry); her children, Kirstie Hayduk, Colby Hayduk (Precilla), Gary Pitcock (Kelly), Kim Frederick (Darren) and Kelli Strom (Scott); as well as her grandchildren, Irie Hayduk, Dane Hayduk, Charlie Pitcock, Bo Pitcock, Finn Pitcock, Taylor Strom, Jacob Strom and Elias Prodger; in addition to countless unofficially adopted children, lifelong friends; and her beloved Gus, Rusty and Bowie.

We will miss her laugh.

We will miss her sarcasm.

We will miss her hugs.

Most of all, we will miss having her here.

But we know she would want us to keep laughing, keep telling stories, keep loving animals, keep planting flowers—and occasionally take in a sunset and have a margarita in Key West.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with a celebration of Judy’s life at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville, IN.
