Joseph Richard Frain

Joseph Richard Frain, 85, of Fishers, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville.  He was born on December 30, 1937 to Joseph and Evelyn (Cook) Frain in Carrollton, Illinois. When Joseph was 5 years old his parents divorced, and his father married Louise (Lambin) Frain who raised him as her own. At age 18 after graduating from Kincaid High School (Kincaid, IL) in 1956 he joined the United States Marine Corp. While stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA he decided to remain in California where he met his wife Linda and had a daughter Laura.

Joseph started as a systems development officer, and later became an assistant VP of his department, at Security Pacific Bank until he retired in 1993. He then moved his family to Springfiled, Illinois and was a systems development manager at AIG for 7 years. Joseph and Linda retired to Las Vegas, then eventually moved to Noblesville to be closer to family. He loved his family, creating his genealogy website, was proud of his Irish heritage, and traveling with his family especially to London and Ireland. Joseph enjoyed golfing and CB radios. He was a loving husband, a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, and son.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda Frain; daughter, Laura Licon; and his grandson, Lucas Licon.

In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his sisters, Marlene Willoughby, Darlene Noreuil, and Hattie Warren.
