Joseph D. Boenitz Jr.

Joseph D. Boenitz Jr., 89, of Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Woodland Terrace of Carmel.  He was born on May 18, 1934 to Joseph and Louise (Sommer) Boenitz in Rock Island, Illinois.

Joseph worked as a sales engineer for 20 years for the Leslie M. Devoe Co.  He loved playing cards and being in the woods, working on his property.  He enjoyed volunteering for the Exotic Feline Rescue Center and the USA Dog Greyhound Rescue.

Joseph is survived by his sons, Paul J. (Catherine) Boenitz and Thomas D. (Lucille) Boenitz; and his grandchildren, Claire, Justin, Joel, and Nico.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Velda R. Boenitz; and 3 brothers, Kenneth Boenitz, Maurice Boenitz, and Norman Boenitz.

Private family services will be held.  Joseph's care has been entrusted to Randall & Roberts Funeral Homes.
