John Allen Farmer

John Allen Farmer Jr., 75, of Noblesville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born on April 6, 1947 to Johnny Allen and Leah Frances (Burns) Farmer in Shelbyville, Indiana.

John was a 1965 graduate of Anderson High School.  He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force at Vandenberg AFB in California, serving a tour of duty in Vietnam.  For 42 years, John was an auto mechanic for Chrysler-Plymouth Dodge.  He was a race car enthusiast who also served as crew chief for several teams.  Most of all, John loved his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca (Todd) Hollowell and April (Brian) Finch; grandchildren, Hunter & Hayden Hollowell, and Haylea, Hannah & Hogan Finch; and his sisters, Joyce Grant and Susan Johnson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Betty Ann Stricklin Farmer; and brother, William "Butch" Buell.

Graveside services will take place on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 11am at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville for all who wish to attend.
