Phyllis Joan (Snyder) Love, age 97, of Noblesville, died April 22, 2026, at Autumnwood Village, Tipton, Indiana. She was born December 25, 1928 in Lapel, Indiana, to Marvin L. Forrer and Opal Marie Snyder. Joan was raised by her maternal grandparents, Clem and Roxie (Hill) Snyder of the Walnut Grove and Arcadia, Indiana communities.

Joan graduated in 1946 from Jackson Central High School in Arcadia, Indiana. Shortly after graduation she went to work at Jenkins Glass Factory in Arcadia as secretary to the manager. In 1948 she worked at the Veteran's Service Office at the Courthouse in Noblesville. While working at the Veteran's Office she met Joseph E. Love, a veteran of WWII, who would later become her husband. They were married in June 1948. During the 1950's, Joan worked in the Hamilton County Clerk's office as Clerk's Clerical Assistant, and Voter's Registration Deputy.

Joe and Joan resided on Field Drive in Noblesville most of their lives.

Joan was especially interested in art, and had studied oil painting with Harriet Jeffries of Carmel, and watercolor painting with Floyd D. Hopper of Noblesville. She also studied sculpture with Adolph Wolter of Indianapolis. Most of the subjects of her sculpture were Arabian Horses. She was also commissioned by the Arabian Horse Association to illustrate a Children's Fun Book.

She was an Honorary Member of the Hamilton County Artist's Association, the IN Arabian Horse Club, and the International Arabian Horse Association. Joan was an adult leader in the Hamilton County 4-H Horse and Pony Club for 10 years. She had been a member of the Board of Riverview Hospital, and had worked there as a volunteer for over 40 years.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in December 2003; stepfathers, Willis Darrel Webb and Frank J. Taylor; half-brothers, Marion "Pete" (Nancy) Webb of Pendleton, IN, and Paris and Anthony Taylor of New Orleans, LA; and half-sister, Marilyn (Danny) Gardner of Vacaville, CA.

Joan is survived by her daughter, Rebecca J. (Dr. Tim) Fleck of Westfield; son, J. Bradley (Sherri) Love of Noblesville; four grandchildren, Austin R. (Meagen) Fleck of Noblesville, Ashley R. (Jon) Teunis of Houston, TX, Hannah A. (Mike) Wyatt of Winter Park, CO, and Nicholas B. Love of Noblesville: four great-grandchildren, James Reid and Mackenzi Rose Fleck of Noblesville, Graham W. and Nolan J. Teunis of Tx, and River G. Wyatt of CO.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday May 14, 2026 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville.
