James William McCormack

It's with joy for our beloved husband-father-grandfather-friend and sorrow for those reading that we share news of the passing of a gentle and loving man, James William McCormack.

Jim was born in Minneapolis on September 18th, 1936 into the warm embrace of his mom Viola and dad William. He was the last of their three sons (Tom and Jack) to pass away 84 years later in Noblesville, Indiana on July 6, 2021, still warmly embraced and surrounded by love.

In those 84 years Jim served God always, and his country rising to Captain in the United States Army where he served in Vietnam. Upon honorable discharge, he self-funded his college education at the University of Minnesota graduating with a business degree. That degree, coupled with a doggedly determined work ethic, led to an enormously successful career in Sales and Marketing and later in life in his many varied hobbies. He definitely liked to be busy.

Along life's journey Jim met Linda Ziehwein in 1962. They married a few years later and had three surviving children: Kelly Radandt (husband Scott Huiras), James Jr., and Gregory (wife Jennifer). After 33 years of marriage Linda passed away in 1996. Their legacy of love continues through their three children and five wonderful grandchildren (Ian, Baxter, Sydney, Mitchell and Zachary).

Jim was blessed to find true love again later in life when he met Dorothy Thomas in 2012 and they married 2 years later. Dorothy's beautiful family enlivened Jim with even more love from Scott (wife Mandi), Janna (husband Andy) and Matthew (wife Misti) and 10 amazing grandchildren (Cody, Trey, Madison, Ellie, Zach Z., Zach B., Ally, Jake, Trent and Natalie).

Visitation will be Saturday July 10, 2021 at Geist Christian Church, where he was an active member, 12756 Promise Road, Fishers, IN 46038, from 11 AM to 2 PM. Church service will immediately follow at 2 PM.

Please honor Jim's memory with prayers and remembrances of joy. If so called, and in lieu of flowers, donations in his honor to the Parkinson's Foundation or to Geist Christian Church would be greatly appreciated. And a very special thank you to the staff of Riverwalk Village in Noblesville, Indiana...a truly beautiful group of people.
