James "Jim" R. Holland, 51, of Fishers, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. He was born on September 30, 1974 in Crawfordsville, Indiana and was raised in Veedersburg, Indiana.
Jim was a graduate of Indiana University and was an IU sports fan. He worked at Sallie Mae for 28 years and was known for his IT solutions and architecture. Jim relaxed by playing football and basketball, especially at home in the driveway shooting hoops with friends and neighbors. He was a cyclist and enjoyed memorable bike rides with his daughters. He enjoyed playing guitar, taking trips and going on hikes in Asheville, North Carolina with his family. He was a devoted husband and a natural-born father-roles he embraced and was destined to do. Jim was the GOAT of 'girl dads' and a top-tier uncle, always showing up with love, laughter, and legendary dad energy. He was known for his comedic timing and had a love of "large crowds and creamy mashed potatoes."
He is survived and loved by his spouse of 25 years, Judah Holland; parents, Denny and Jill Holland; daughters, Grace Holland and Sophia Holland; brother, Chris (Wilfreda) Holland; sisters-in-law, Katie (Steve) Goar and April (Randy) Bordeau; brother-in-law, Ben (Terri) Abney; mother-in-law, Marianne Abney; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers. A service will be held at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Fishers. The family asks that those attending dress casually and comfortably.
