Jacqueline Sue Harper , age 83, formerly of Fishers, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 19, 2022. Jackie Sue was born on May 30th, 1938 in Salem, Indiana to David Ringer and Frances (Dorsey) Ringer.
Jackie grew up on a dairy farm, where she enjoyed spending time with her brothers, working on the farm, and showing cattle and horses at the State Fair. She was a cheerleader at Fishers High School and went on to marry her grade-school sweetheart, Jack Harper, on September 9th, 1956. They had four children: Julie, Jill, Jama, and Jason, starting the longstanding "J" name tradition in the Harper family.
Jackie was an active mom and grandma, coaching softball, leading 4-H and Girl Scouts, and attending countless sporting events. She worked at the Frances Smith Shop and was a member of the Fishers United Methodist Church and Chapter #446 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Jackie loved her family and enjoyed all of the get-togethers where she could read to, snuggle, and spoil her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved sweet tea, watching her favorite shows, and eating ice cream.
Jackie is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Harper; parents, David and Frances Ringer; in-laws, Jake and Amy Herron; brother, David Lee Ringer; daughter, Jama Henderson Shelby; and son-in-law, Brad Henderson.
She is survived by her daughters, Julie Eubank and Jill (Scott) Boles; son, Jason (Megan) Harper; along with her 13 grandchildren, Jenica (Josh) Barringer, Jon (Kendra) Henderson, Jordyn (Brent) Solberg, Jenna (Brandon) Fassnacht, Jenae (Austin) Taylor, Jessa Boles, Jake (Elyse) Boles, Addison (Alex) Johnson, Adilyn, Ava, Jude, Jericho, and Zion Harper; 10 great-grandchildren, Jax, Jordan, Joss, Charley, Jentry, Jia, Jonna, Hayes, Jones, and Rowan; brothers, John (Denise) Ringer and Steve (Pat) Ringer; foster brother, Eugene (Darlene) Cooper; sister-in-law, Rhonda Harper; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, with services at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers. Jackie’s son, Jason Harper, will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Fishers.
