Ioannis Panagiotis Bartzis

Our beloved Ioannis Panagiotis Bartzis (Ιωáννης Πaνaγιώτης Μπáρτζης) died peacefully in his home in Noblesville, Indiana on September 2, 2026. Born in Corinth, Greece on October 23, 1947, he was the husband of 24 years to Opal Leeman Bartzis and the father of Melina Bartzis, Nick Jelcic, Andrea Leinweber and Pano Bartzis. In addition to his wife, children, and several grandchildren, he is survived by his two sisters. He was the son of Panagiotis and Konstantina Bartzis of Zevgolatio, Greece. Ioannis was a member of the General Assembly & Church of the Firstborn in Elwood, Indiana, into which he was baptized by David Leeman. Ioannis was very much loved, and his vivacious personality, as well as his hospitable nature, clever sense of humor, not to mention his wonderful Greek cooking, will be greatly missed.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Aroma Cemetery immediately following the service.
