Helen Patricia McKay

Helen Patricia McKay, 99, of Fishers, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Community Heart & Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on March 15, 1927 to Paul and Ruth (Smith) Armould in Breckenridge, Texas.

Helen went to Oklahoma's College for Women in Chickasha. She taught and also coached women's softball, fencing and synchronized swimming. Helen married Peter R. McKay on December 25, 1955, and they were married for over 70 years. Being married to an Air Force Pilot, Helen lived in and saw many different countries including Turkey, Germany, Italy and England.

Helen was active in her church with Meals on Wheels, Solomon's Wardrobe, and theatrical productions (ie - Living Bethlehem, Resurrection Services - mainly at E91st Church). She was a long-time member of Eastern Star in Noblesville, IN.

Helen is survived by her husband, Peter McKay; sons, Jason (Karen) McKay and Eric (Ashlie) McKay; daughter, Molly McKay; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Armould.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with services at 1:00 pm, on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers. Pastor David Faust will officiate. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.

Helen's family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Community Hospital for their thoughtfulness, help and compassion in caring for Helen at her passing.
