Harry H. Young, 83, Arcadia, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at home. He was born September 26, 1926 in Bonny Blue, Virginia to Omer D. and Ollie (Pearcy) Young.
Harry was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, 'Honey' Nell (King) Young; daughter, Sharon (Louis) Kane Young Pitluk; son, Harry W. (Jody) Young; son, Pastor Jeffrey L. (Vicky) Young; daughter, Jamie R. (Robert) Young Guilkey; son, Tracy A. (Gina) Young; brother, Billy C. (Barbara 'Bobbie') Young; sister, Wilma Jean (Denzel 'Jr.') Young Dixon; four grandchildren, Josh M. (Amanda) Matlock, Lauren M. Guilkey, Ryan M. Guilkey & Derrick Wolfe; and special friends, Ervin Doughty of Oakland, TN & Ed Lanningham of Covington, KY. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Ann R. Young, Joy Ely Young Mills, Billie Jane King Reese, Angel King Cottrell & Frankie R. King Carter; brother-in-law, James R. Carter; and many loving nieces, nephews & cousins.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Edward V. Young, Charles H. Young, Bernard W. Young; sister, Ruby L. Young; and granddaughter, Jamie Jo Young.
Services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, with Pastor Jeff Young officiating. Friends may call from 11:00AM-1:00PM immediately prior to the service. Private interment will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Samuel Heiser, the staff of Riverview Hospital, especially Pat Neal and Beth Rabidean, Shannon and Dea of Riverview Wound Care Center and the caring staff of AseraCare Hospice.
