Harold D. Huff, 84, of Fishers, Husband, father and grandfather, left us peacefully on November 8th, 2025 surrounded by his family. Harold was born June 5, 1941 in Shelbyville, IN to the late Harold William and Catherine Huff. He graduated from Lawrence Central High School in 1959, in Indianapolis, IN.

Harold and his wife, Brigitte, met and married in Germany, while stationed there during Vietnam war. Their marriage of 61 years will continue in the heart of Brigitte, as they only referred to one another affectionately as “Honey”.

Harold served proudly in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot, flying missions over hostile territory in Vietnam, earning the Medal of Honor. All the while being separated from his wife after the birth of their only child, “little” Brigitte.

Harold’s experience with tools, a trade learned by his father, went on to excel as a residential builder for over 48 years, leaving a legacy of timeless quality & distinctive masterpieces. The engineering expertise demonstrated by Harold, combined with Brigitte's creativity, represented a remarkable partnership that highlighted their respective skills and passion for their work.

His love of sports throughout his life and dedication to fitness shared with his wife gave them both another way to experience new journeys together.

The positive personality he portrayed, along with his infectious laughter, was endearing to his friends and family. “B-Happy” was his motto and proudly displayed on his license plate. Always one to try new things, including making his famous Hummus for healthy eating, exploded in the garage while cooking-inciting laughter when told to all!

His loving memories will live with his family forever and those he knew. He is survived by his devoted wife, Brigitte; daughter, Brigitte A. Gruszczynski (husband, Joe); and granddaughter, Jolie Gruszczynski. Harold was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Huff.

Abiding by his wishes, a private ceremony will be held by his family.

Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville.
